Diamondbacks’ Corbin Carroll shuts down hip injury concern after recent scare
Arizona Diamondbacks star Corbin Carroll is dealing with a hip injury concern. He is out of Friday’s lineup for the Diamondbacks’ game against the Philadelphia Phillies. However, Carroll is seemingly not concerned about the injury, according to Jody Jackson.
“Corbin Carroll says he feels a lot better today and all indications are that he will be back soon. No imaging,” Jackson reported.
Carroll dealt with a hand injury during spring training and missed the World Baseball Classic as a result. He has since returned and the outfielder has appeared in 12 games during the regular season. Carroll is hitting .333/.408/.690 across 49 plate appearances. He’s also hit two home runs, three doubles and a league leading three triples.
The two-time All-Star has looked ready to go this season without question. The Diamondbacks are hopeful his hip issue won’t prove to be a big problem. It seems as if Carroll will return soon barring any setbacks.
Overall, the D’Backs hold a 7-6 record so far during the 2026 campaign. Arizona is in third place in the National League West standings. It has been an up and down start to the new campaign for the ball club, but they have displayed signs of potential.
The Diamondbacks are currently on a road trip. They are set to play the Phillies in a three-game series from Friday through Sunday. Arizona will then travel to Baltimore to play the Orioles for three games from Monday until Wednesday before returning home.
Updates will continue to be monitored and provided on Corbin Carroll’s injury status as they are made available.
