De’Von Achane injury: Dolphins RB questionable to return in 14 vs. Jets

Miami Dolphins running back De’Von Achane has exited the team’s Week 14 matchup vs. the New York Jets with a rib injury and has been ruled as questionable to return. He suffered the injury late in the first half of Sunday’s matchup and entered the blue medical tent on the sideline before gingerly walking off to the locker room.

Achane had already made a huge mark on this game in just one half, taking seven carries for 92 yards and a touchdown on the ground while adding a reception for 13 yards for good measure. He entered Week 14 fourth in the NFL in rushing with 1,034 yards while leading the entire league in explosive rate at 13.4%. The Dolphins jumped out to a 24-7 lead at halftime and a victory would give them their fourth straight win, keeping their slim playoff hopes alive. We’ll see if the third-year back will return to the action in the second half.
