Derek Chisora claims Fabio Wardley set to face Daniel Dubois as pair hold world title fight talks
Derek Chisora believes Fabio Wardley and Daniel Dubois will fight, and talks appear to have now been opened over a huge clash.
British heavyweights Wardley and Dubois are yet to schedule in their next fights, but are both looking for an opponent for a return this spring.

Wardley was crowned WBO world heavyweight champion after Oleksandr Usyk vacated the title and elected not to accept the fight.
Then, it was initially revealed by Frank Warren to talkSPORT that the chances of Wardley being matched up with Dubois in his first defence were slim.
Dubois was expected to make a separate comeback at a similar time, despite his team having one eye on making the clash happen.
Now, British heavyweight Derek Chisora, who was in talks to face Wardley but will instead face Deontay Wilder on April 4, has claimed he knows the pair are set to meet.
He told Seconds Out: “I’ll tell you a scoop. Daniel is fighting Fabio. Don’t tell anyone.”
Chisora is known to put his knowledge forwards, having also recently gone out on a limb to suggest Usyk will next face Andy Ruiz Jr.
Any showdown would be a huge moment for both fighters, and would be a blockbuster event which would likely sell out a stadium on British shores.
Dubois would hope to draw on his experience from facing the likes of Anthony Joshua and Usyk twice to dethrone the champion.
Wardley vs Dubois – talks begin
Despite reservations over the pair meeting immediately next, it appears it is now a consideration.
And that has been confirmed by Wardley’s manager Michael Ofo, who has revealed discussions are underway.

He told Sky Sports: “We were pursuing a fight with Chisora or Wilder for April 4, but they took refuge in each other’s arms.
“As for Daniel Dubois, clearly that’s a fight that Fabio would be well up for.
“There’s nothing like an all-British showdown for the world heavyweight title!
“We’re talking to Fabio about various things and also to Daniel. Whatever happens they’ve both got to fight, they both want to fight and they will fight.
“So they’ll probably fight end of April early May.”
It promises to be a mouth-watering spectacle if it gets over the line, which will form another part of a bumper run of heavyweight boxing.

Wardley nonetheless will hope to be back in action in any kind of voluntary defence.
For Dubois he has regularly reiterated his intentions of wrestling back a world title, after losing his IBF crown last July.
