Dazed Victor Wembanyama exits Game 2 vs. Blazers amid injury scare

The San Antonio Spurs have hopes of making a deep playoff run this postseason, and a significant portion of that run will rely on the health of star Victor Wembanyama.

Wembanyama had a magnificent performance in Game 1 against the Portland Trail Blazers, but appeared to suffer an injury scare early in Game 2.

With nine minutes remaining in the 2nd quarter, Victor Wembanyama drove to the basket on a defending Jrue Holiday. Wembanyama bumped knees with Holiday, tripped towards the floor, and appeared to have his head bounce off the hardwood at least two times as he landed on the ground.

Wembanyama took a minute to get up off the ground, holding his head and covering his eyes from the bright lights of the arena. He would get up eventually and immediately head back to the Spurs locker room.

In 12 first half minutes, Wembanyama had five points, four rebounds, one assist, and two turnovers on 1-of-3 -shooting.
