However, the show at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena on July 11 also features several other exciting talents whom will feel like the event offers the perfect opportunity to spread their name far and wide.

‘The Baddy’ faces fellow top-ranked lightweight Benoit Saint Denis to decide who will edge closer to getting a shot at undisputed gold.

They feature high up a card that also has Britons Lone’er Kavanagh and Luke Riley in respective bouts.

Furthermore, it’s a promotional debut for heavyweight prospect Gable Steveson and Robert Whittaker makes his first appearance as a light heavyweight.

McGregor and Holloway are expected to make their walks around 4am BST on Sunday, July 12, (11pm ET, 8pm PT), but before that there is plenty of preliminary and main card action to look forward to.

McGregor vs Holloway undercard: What has been said?

Reacting to Gaethje’s historic victory over Ilia Topuria at UFC White House in June, Pimblett made his future fighting plans clear: “Undisputed champion, you deserve it [Gaethje] after your career.

“But now I want that rematch. I am going to finish Saint Denis and I want that rematch with Justin Gaethje for the undisputed title.

“I told you guys it was fate [Gaethje beating me at UFC 324 in January].

“Everyone give me s*** for getting beat by him. What now? What now?

“Thought he was finished. Thought he was 38. Thought he was over the hill and he just beat the ‘greatest fighter of all time’ Ilia Topuria.

“I went five [rounds] with [Gaethje]. I took every f***ing shot that he threw at me and kept walking forward…

“Justin Gaethje, hats off to you. I did say it was fate that you beat me so that you could go to the White House and beat Ilia to become undisputed champion.

“You absolutely deserve that for the career you’ve had in the UFC, but someone has to take that belt off you and when I beat ‘BSD’ I’m coming lad.”

Former UFC middleweight champion Whittaker was asked by Combat TV how he views his first opponent at 205lbs.

“[Krylov] is a veteran of the sport,” Whittaker said.

“I look forward to going in there and testing his experience, testing his ability.

“He’s fought a lot of good, highly-skilled opponents, but he hasn’t fought anyone like me.

“So I look forward to getting in there and giving it a good old crack.”
