Club Brugge vs Arsenal predictions and betting tips – Gunners to maintain 100 percent start

Club Brugge vs Arsenal predictions
Arsenal have not suffered too many setbacks this season, but they were dealt one in the early kick-off on Saturday.
Emi Buendia’s dramatic late strike earned Aston Villa a 2-1 victory over the Premier League leaders. With Manchester City emerging triumphant over Sunderland a few hours later, Arsenal’s lead at the summit of the standings has been trimmed to two points.
Given how well they have played so far this term, it is mildly concerning for the Gunners that their advantage over the chasing pack is so slender.
It is hard to argue against the notion that they have been the best team in the Premier League up to this point, yet Arsenal are now just one adverse result away from dropping off top spot.
Still, there is no need for doom and gloom to set in. Aston Villa were the form team in England’s top flight even before they beat Arsenal.
Despite being without some key defensive players, Mikel Arteta’s men only lost narrowly at Villa Park. They remain the bookies’ favourites for the title.
Arsenal are seen as the team to beat in Europe too. After five rounds of fixtures, they are the only side in the Champions League with a 100 percent record.
Arsenal beat Athletic Bilbao and Olympiacos in their first two outings, before thrashing Atletico Madrid 4-0 on matchday three.
The Gunners went on to defeat Slavia Prague 3-0, after which they delivered their most impressive result yet on matchday five: a 3-1 victory over Bayern Munich in a top-of-the-table clash.
Arsenal reached the semi-finals of the Champions League last term. Arteta was roundly mocked for suggesting his team had been the best in the tournament, but he was not far off. Paris Saint-Germain were superior to Arsenal in the knockout phase, but few others were as good.
The Gunners are desperate to win the Premier League having finished as runners-up in three consecutive campaigns. Yet Champions League glory would be even more historic. After all, Arsenal have never been crowned kings of the continent before.
The squad is deeper this season than it was last, and that will stand Arsenal in good stead as they aim to compete for silverware on multiple fronts.
Saturday brought a rare slice of disappointment for Arteta’s team, but they must move on from that. All that matters now is Wednesday night.

Club Brugge vs Arsenal betting tips
Arsenal will be seeking to make it six wins from six in the Champions League this season.
Arsenal to win again
Arsenal will hope to welcome back William Saliba to their starting XI against Club Brugge, although Arteta will not want to take any risks with the defender’s fitness.
Gabriel Magalhaes and Cristhian Mosquera will definitely miss out, but Arsenal will still be tough to break down even without their first-choice backline.
There is a good chance Arteta will shuffle his pack elsewhere ahead of the hectic festive period.
That could disrupt Arsenal’s rhythm to an extent, but this is the sort of match where the result is all-important. In a bid to conserve energy, Arsenal will not go all-out to score four or five goals.
A controlled, managed, low-scoring away win is our main prediction for this one.
Go for Arsenal to win and under 3.5 goals at 11/10 with bet365
Gunners to have strong end
Arsenal will not be too concerned if they go in at half-time with the game goalless.
Club Brugge have failed to score in two of their last three Champions League games, and Arsenal will aim to frustrate their hosts by forcing them away from their goal in the first half especially.
The Gunners have tended to come on strong in the second half of European contests up to now.
Of the 14 goals they have scored in this tournament, 11 have come between minutes 46 and 90. Arsenal’s superiority should be clear in the second half.
Tip Arsenal to win the second half at 4/6 with bet365
Gyokeres on scoresheet?
Mikel Merino has done an excellent job of deputising up front of late, but he may be pulled back into midfield on Wednesday so that Declan Rice can have a rest.
Viktor Gyokeres is available again and this feels like an ideal opportunity to get him back into the starting line-up.
The jury is still out on Gyokeres as a top-level centre-forward, but he has shown he will chip in with goals this season.
Arsenal will have plenty of possession in Club Brugge’s half, making Gyokeres’s penalty-box presence a major factor.
Choose Viktor Gyokeres to score any time at 20/21 with bet365
