Cavs defend home court with emphatic Game 7 win vs. Raptors
The Cleveland Cavaliers stepped on the gas in the second half to beat the Toronto Raptors, 114-102, in Game 7 of their first-round series in the playoffs at a jampacked Rocket Arena on Sunday.
The Cavaliers erected a double-digit lead in the closing minutes of the third period to gain control of the contest. While the Raptors did not exactly fold, the Wine and Gold simply wanted it more, surviving their pulsating best-of-seven affair.
Cleveland will battle the Detroit Pistons in the second round.
Jarrett Allen was dominant on both ends in Game 7, finishing with a double-double of 22 points and 19 rebounds. He added two assists, two steals, and three blocks in a monstrous performance.
James Harden chipped in 18 points, six rebounds, three assists, and three steals. He also reached another milestone with his laudable effort.
Cleveland is looking to advance to the conference finals for the first time since 2018.
