Bulls rumors: Recent NBA Draft workout has executives wondering about a trade

Who the Chicago Bulls will choose in the 2026 NBA Draft remains a mystery. Despite that, projections suggest that Caleb Wilson of North Carolina will be the No.4 pick. Other projections now have Wilson at No.3 and Cameron Boozer at No. 4.

However, on Thursday, it was reported that the Bulls hosted a Tuesday workout featuring four lottery picks: Keaton Wagler, Kingston Flemings, Nate Ament, and Morez Johnson. With the Bulls slated to have the No.15 pick, the question arises as to whether they will trade up, per Kevin O’Connor of Yahoo Sports.

It is highly expected that Wagler, Flemings, Ament, and Johnson will be selected before that pick. According to Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints, Wagler could be the No.5 pick in the Draft, and Flemings as the No.9 pick. The Dallas Mavericks could select Ament as the No.10 pick. Johnson could be the No.13 pick by the Miami Heat.

Wagler is coming off a stellar freshman season with Illinois, which included an appearance in the Final Four. Flemings played one year as a guard at the University of Houston. Meanwhile, Ament is fresh off his freshman season at Tennessee. Johnson played one year as a forward at Michigan, helping Michigan win the NCAA championship in April.

Meanwhile, the Bulls are viewing the Draft as a launching pad for their ongoing revitalization. They have their new VP of Basketball Operations, Bryson Graham, leading the charge. They are also searching for a new head coach.

The 2026 NBA Draft is scheduled for June 23 to 24.
