British UFC star is ready to fight Conor McGregor: ‘I’m game’

One of UFC’s loudmouths has expressed his interest in fighting another one of UFC’s loudmouths. Both Paddy Pimblett and Conor McGregor are known for both their fighting and verbal skills.

While essentially belonging to different weight classes, “Paddy the Baddy” recently claimed that he is willing to compete at welterweight (170lbs) against Conor McGregor while awaiting his chance to get another shot at the 155lb weight class championship against Justin Gaethje.

Recently speaking to “Mighty” Demetrious Johnson, Pimblett opened up on his intentions of winning the lightweight championship before eventually moving up to the welterweight division, where he would like to face McGregor.

“I want to win this lightweight belt, defend it, and then I’m going to eventually move up to welterweight. I’d love to get the rematch with Justin (Gaethje). Arman’s probably in front of me. I know he wants a rematch with Charles, so Charles is probably in front of me. I would like to fight again before the end of the year. If Conor McGregor needs a welterweight opponent before the end of the year, I’m game.“

Earlier this year, Pimblett lost the chance to win the interim UFC Lightweight Championship against Justin Gaethje. However, now looking forward to getting that back, he has to first face Benoit Saint-Denis on Jul. 11, 2026.

As Pimblett prepares for his fight against Saint-Denis, there are no confirmed reports on his potential fight with McGregor. “The Notorious” Conor McGregor is currently scheduled to face Max Holloway in his UFC return match on the same UFC 329 card on Jul. 11, 2026.
