Braves broadcaster says quiet part out loud about Atlanta’s 2026 season

The Atlanta Braves have been on a roll for seemingly the entire 2026 MLB season, currently sitting with the best record in baseball at 45-21 ahead of Tuesday’s series opener vs the Chicago White Sox. Despite dealing with a plethora of injuries and other turbulence, the Braves have been a model of consistency so far this year and haven’t shown signs of slowing down anytime soon.

Recently, Braves broadcaster Brandon Gaudin put things into perspective on just how impressive the team has been this season.

“You keep waiting for this team to have a hiccup, and they just haven’t. They continue to find ways to win,” said Gaudin, per the MLB Network on X, formerly Twitter.

Many predicted that the Braves would stumble out of the gates, as they did last year to the tune of an 0-7 start, due to the sheer amount of injuries they sustained before the season, with pitchers Spencer Schwellenbach, Spencer Strider, and others missing the opening chunk of the season (Schwellenbach remains out of the lineup).

However, the Braves’ remaining pitching staff, led by Chris Sale, held down the fort in their absence, and the bullpen has also been elite this year.

Meanwhile, on offense, the Braves have gotten resurgent seasons out of players like Ozzie Albies after a down year last season, and the fact that they’ve been among the best hitting teams in baseball despite relatively quiet years from Ronald Acuna Jr. and Austin Riley certainly bodes well for them going forward.

Of course, Braves fans are hoping that this will all translate into success come the postseason. The Braves have not won a playoff series since their 2021 World Series run, and flamed out after a historic regular season in 2023 against the Philadelphia Phillies.

For now, the Braves will focus on the White Sox series.
