Blue Jays’ George Springer takes step forward in toe injury recovery
Toronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer previously suffered a fractured toe and ultimately landed on the injured list. The Blue Jays are hopeful that Springer will not have to miss too much time on the IL. On Tuesday, Springer took a step forward in his injury recovery.
Shi Davidi shared a video on X, formerly Twitter, of the outfielder participating in light running on the field before the Blue Jays’ game against the Los Angeles Angels.

Springer still has work to do before he will return, but he is seemingly trending in the right direction.
The 36-year-old played in 14 games before landing on the IL. Although the four-time All-Star was struggling to begin the new campaign, Toronto understands how important he is to the team’s overall success.
The Blue Jays will continue to monitor and provide updates on George Springer’s injury status.
Toronto will play in Anaheim against the Los Angeles Angels through Wednesday. The Blue Jays took care of business on Monday, as they earned a 5-2 win on the road. The victory represented a second consecutive win for a team that is trying to develop momentum.
Toronto currently holds a 9-13 overall record. They are tied for last place in the American League East with the Boston Red Sox. The Blue Jays expect to compete in 2026, and they will surely get back on track soon.
The game on Tuesday night between the Blue Jays and Angels in Anaheim is scheduled for 9:38 PM EST as Toronto looks to win its third consecutive contest.
