Best betting promos and sportsbooks for MLB prop bets [April 30, 2026]

The Philadelphia Phillies face off against the San Francisco Giants in a highly anticipated matchup on Thursday.

After failing to play at a competitive level last year, the San Francisco Giants have carried over their struggles into this season, sitting near the bottom of the board in most offensive metrics.

Unfortunately for the Giants, their lack of production on offense will be on full display against the Philadelphia Phillies as they face off against Cristopher Sanchez who excels at avoiding contact.

With eleven games taking place on Thursday, there are plenty of prop bets to groom through which you can read a detailed breakdown of them below.

San Francisco Giants vs Philadelphia Phillies (12:35pm, EST)

San Francisco Giants First Five Innings Team Total Under 1.5 (-154) at FanDuel Sportsbook

Since the start of the regular season, the San Francisco Giants revamped lineup have been unable to find their footing, ranking well below league average in Runs Scored, RBIs, On Base Percentage, and in OPS.

Even with their lineup generating Hits at a league average rate, their inability to string together their Hits makes it hard for them to advance their runners, resulting in a high number of runners left on base.

Unfortunately for the Giants, their struggles on offense are poised to persist on Thursday as they face off against the Philadelphia Phillies Cristopher Sanchez who is averaging an ERA of 2.94 and a FIP of 2.62.

While his current WHIP is shockingly poor, Sanchez is able to mask it by creating a high rate of Whiffs, generating over one Strikeout per Inning Pitched.

Cristopher Sanchez Over 18.5 Total Outs (+124) at FanDuel Sportsbook

With the Giants incapable of getting into scoring position, the Phillies will allow Sanchez to remain on the mound, increasing his chances of clearing the over on his total Outs prop.

Even with his back end struggling in coverage, Sanchez’s aggression will force the Giants into low quality contact scenarios which will help him avoid the possibility of getting burned by an error.

Houston Astros vs Baltimore Orioles (12:35pm, EST)

Houston Astros First Five Innings Team Total Over 2.5 (+110) at BetMGM Sportsbook

After going 3-7 in their last ten games, the Houston Astros have plummeted down the AL West division standings, sitting 4.5 games back from the Athletics for first.

Even during their slump, the Astros have still been able to thrive on offense, ranking in the top-5 in Contact Rate, On Base Percentage, and in OPS.

In a favorable matchup against the Baltimore Orioles, the Astros will have a great opportunity to light up the scoreboard as they battle it out against Chris Bassitt who is currently averaging an ERA of 6.75 and a  WHIP of 2.063.

Especially with his back end failing to mask his struggles on the mound with their coverage, fielding a group who resides in the bottom half of the board in Defensive Efficiency.

Yordan Alvarez Over 1.5 Hits (+175) at BetMGM Sportsbook

When at full health, Yordan Alvarez has been a dominant force at the plate, averaging over one Hit per game, a .355 Batting Average, and a 1.199 OPS.

With Bassitt in no control of his command while surrounded by a back end who severely underwhelms in coverage, expect Alvarez to exploit their gaps in the outfield and generate Hits at a high rate.

Toronto Blue Jays vs Minnesota Twins (7:40pm, EST)

Kevin Gausman Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-133) at Caesars Sportsbook

After entering the year listed as one of the top contenders to compete for the AL Cy Young award, Kevin Guasman’s odds to win the title have steadily grown, kicking off his 2026 campaign with an ERA of 2.57, a WHIP of 0.943, and a FIP of 2.58.

Gausman’s success on the mound stems from his ability to avoid contact, averaging less than one Hit Against and more than one Strikeout per inning.

Heading into Thursday night, expect Gausman to continue to generate Whiffs at a high rate as he faces off against the Minnesota Twins who rank below league average in Contact Rate, Strikeout Rate, and in Walk Rate.

For some more exposure, escalator bet Gausman’s Strikeout prop by placing smaller wagers on his alternate overs at the best available odds across multiple sportsbooks.
