Barcelona vs Real Madrid predictions and betting tips – Blaugrana can win title against rivals

Barcelona have an 11-point lead at the top of La Liga with four games of the season remaining, so a draw with second-placed Real Madrid this weekend would get them over the line.

Madrid will not win the title this term, but they will be desperate to make their arch-rivals wait a little longer. Can the Blancos spoil the party, or will Barcelona get the result they need?

Barcelona vs Real Madrid predictions

If you had asked Barcelona or Real Madrid fans last summer what their perfect scenario for the La Liga season would be, both sets of supporters would have mentioned winning the title in the Clasico in May.

Barcelona’s dreams could be realised on Sunday, when Madrid may be forced to confront their worst nightmare.

There are three matches remaining after this weekend, and Barcelona hold an 11-point advantage over Madrid ahead of their meeting at Camp Nou.

That means a draw or a win for Hansi Flick’s side would bring them the title. Only a Madrid victory would force Barcelona to wait a little while longer.

A place in the history books is up for grabs. Never before has the title been won in the Clasico. On the biggest stage in Spanish football, Barca have the chance to get their hands on the trophy.

There is no doubt they deserve to be champions again this term. It is easy to forget now, but Madrid actually made the better start to 2025/26. The Blancos won 10 of their first 11 league games, including a 2-1 triumph over Barcelona at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.

But things subsequently fell apart under Xabi Alonso, and Barca have taken full advantage with a relentless run of results over the last few months.

Both Spanish giants were eliminated from the Champions League at the quarter-final stage, but Barca can at least console themselves with another La Liga title.

Flick has now won the league in both of his campaigns as Barca boss, while Madrid are searching for a new manager on the back of a trophyless season.

Barcelona vs Real Madrid betting tips

The biggest game in European club football takes place at the Camp Nou this weekend.

Barcelona to seal deal

Barcelona could still equal La Liga’s all-time points record of 100, jointly held by the Real Madrid side of 2011/12 and the Barca team of 2012/13.

They are on 88 at present, so Flick’s charges would need to win all their remaining matches to reach treble figures.

It is a feat they would doubtless love to achieve, but Barca’s focus this weekend will be on beating their arch-rivals to claim the title.

It is a horrible scenario for Madrid. The visitors will be desperate to spoil the party, but a record of two wins in their last seven games shows they are not exactly in top shape.

Expect entertainment on Sunday

The Clasico is always a must-watch event in the calendar of European club football, but it has been even more enthralling in recent years.

Barcelona and Real Madrid have certainly not shortchanged viewers in their last few meetings, with both teams committed to attacking football in their most important fixture.

Indeed, the last 10 games between the pair have yielded a total of 45 goals, or an average of 4.5 per match.

There have been over 3.5 goals in eight of those 10 contests, and we envisage more of the same on Sunday.

Raphinha ready to return

With Lamine Yamal out for the rest of the season, Raphinha’s return to the fold has come at the perfect time for Barcelona.

The Brazil international was deemed fit enough for a place on the bench for the 2-1 defeat of Osasuna last time out.

Raphinha did not appear in that match, but the indications are that he is ready to start in the Clasico.

It is possible that the former Leeds United man will not be at his sharpest after a spell on the treatment table, but Raphinha has been so effective under Flick that we are attracted by this wager.

Important historical facts about Barcelona vs Real Madrid for betting

A Barcelona win this weekend would see them move level with Real Madrid on 106 all-time Clasico victories. A failure to triumph on Sunday would confirm this as Real Madrid’s first season without a trophy since 2020/21.

Real Madrid have won only one of their last six meetings with Barcelona in all competitions.
