Austin Reaves’ hilarious reaction to $185 million contract goes viral

The Los Angeles Lakers were able to accomplish one of their offseason goals after the draft, signing Austin Reaves to a four-year, $185 million contract. Even though Reaves could have possibly gone somewhere else and gotten a big deal, the Lakers made sure to roll out the red carpet and make him a priority for their future.

It looks like both sides are happy about the deal, but it was Reaves who showed all of his emotions while on the golf course. There was a picture of the Lakers’ guard lying in the green grass after agreeing to his contract, and it looks like he’s happy to be back with the team that gave him his first chance in the league.

Reaves had one of the best seasons of his career this past year, and he was the obvious No. 2 option alongside Luka Doncic. Unfortunately, both of them got injured late into the season before the playoffs, and their postseason was cut short after losing to the Oklahoma City Thunder in the second round.

There was always optimism that the Lakers would bring back Reaves, and Doncic was adamant about having him on the team.

The next goal for the Lakers is to re-sign LeBron James, and all signs point to him returning for another season. It’s uncertain if this will be his last season in the league, but he’s continued to play at a high level, regardless of his age.

The Lakers also need to improve along the margins, and they could look a little different next season with some of the moves they plan to make.
