Audio catches Angel Reese’s NSFW taunt after wild Caitlin Clark block

The Atlanta Dream are taking on the Indiana Fever on Thursday, which means we have a matchup between Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark. In the second quarter of the contest, things already got a little chippy, as audio picked up the NSFW taunt Reese yelled at Clark after a play.

Clark, who is 24 years old, drove toward the basket with Dream center Madina Okot guarding her. However, when the three-year veteran attempted a layup, Okot blocked the shot, sending it out of bounds. Reese immediately yelled toward Clark’s direction while celebrating Okot’s defensive play.

“Gimmie that s***,” proclaimed Reese.

Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark have been going at it since their days in college. Reese and her LSU Lady Tigers defeated Clark and the Lady Hawkeyes 102–85 in the 2023 NCAA Women’s National Championship. However, Clark got the better of Reese the following year, as Iowa eliminated LSU in the Elite 8 in 2024.

Their rivalry bled into the WNBA, where the two have faced off five times before Thursday’s contest between the Dream and Fever. While the two play fiercely against one another, they both claim there is no bad blood between them.

Reese, who is 24 years old, was traded from the Chicago Sky to the Dream in the offseason. She’s seemingly fitting in well, as the two-time All-Star slotted right into the starting lineup to help improve the front court. Angel Reese entered Thursday’s contest against the Fever with eight games played under her belt, averaging 13.0 points, 11.3 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 41.2% from the field and 73.3% from the free-throw line.
