Angry Thomas Tuchel made ferocious demand to England star before Norway goal
Thomas Tuchel was visibly furious with Noni Madueke against Norway just before England went behind in their quarter-final tie.
The Three Lions manager appeared a frustrated figure on the touchline as his side failed to have a single shot before the first hydration break.

He raged at his team during the break, picking out Elliot Anderson and Madueke in particular to speak to in the dugout.
Speaking from inside the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, talkSPORT’s England correspondent, Faye Carruthers, said: “The first person Tuchel went over to was Anderson.
“A few times he wanted him to be a little bit closer over to the left-hand side. It’s been really interesting watching him. He’s been so frustrated with the lack of energy.
“He’s now deep in conversation with Noni Madueke, that’s what he needs. He’s actually quite angry and telling him what he needs him to do down that right-hand side. Because we potentially would have had a lot of joy down there.
“We saw it with Anthony Gordon down the left-hand side, every time Thomas Tuchel told him to hug the touchline on the left-hand side, he went out there.
“It was John Stones with the ball across to him and we had joy. We won a corner. We drove at the defence. There’s just not enough speed and that’s what he’s telling him.”
Former England captain Stuart Pearce then added: “He’s in Madueke’s ear quite ferociously. That’s good management on what I’m seeing.
“Because I think our two wide players hold the key in this game because that’s probably where they’re at the weakest.”
“I’m looking at Thomas Tuchel’s body language here, he is at full throttle down there with his body language.”
Madueke only attempted three dribbles in the first half, giving away one foul and sending a cross straight out for a goal kick.

The Arsenal winger lost possession five times in the first period too, but also almost set up Nico O’Reilly for a tap-in.
England then conceded shortly after the hydration break to go 1-0 down, but Jude Bellingham hit back just before half time.
Harry Kane then chipped in to seemingly give the Three Lions the lead, but the offside flag denied him.
And at the break, Madueke was substituted by Tuchel and replaced by Bukayo Saka, with Declan Rice taken off for Eberechi Eze.
‘A complete embarrassment’
Despite going into half time at 1-1, talkSPORT’s Adrian Durham and Pearce were not happy with the performance.
Durham ranted: “Jude Bellingham has saved us yet again.

“I actually think Thomas Tuchel should get stuck into them at half-time. I actually thought that first half, in the main, up to the goal, was a complete embarrassment from England.
“That first half was everything that Tuchel said it wouldn’t be.”
He added: “And we have Madueke going backwards, we have Kane not touching the ball for most of the first half, we have Guehi standing still with the ball at his feet, set pieces, terrible.
“Jude Bellingham has saved us again, Anthony Gordon gets credit for the run down the left and the cross, and actually Gordon’s been OK.
“But the other side, wow, I mean there’s a lot of work for Thomas Tuchel to do, because I just felt we were a shambles.
“And if you look at the hydration break, Thomas Tuchel got stuck into the players and they got worse, they got even worse after the hydration break.
“He wanted front-foot, he wanted aggressive, it wasn’t that England were going backwards so much, they just weren’t looking forwards, they didn’t realise how good they are. When they get going, when they go forward, they can be brilliant.”
