AEW World Champion MJF shares latest knee injury update
Injuries are one of the most common aspects of combat sports and pro-wrestling. With several wrestlers from both AEW and WWE currently out with injuries, one more star has now joined that list.
During last week’s episode of Wednesday-night Dynamite, MJF injured himself while defending his AEW World Championship against RUSH. “The Salt of the Earth” allegedly sustained a hyperextended knee during one of the spots with RUSH.
Recently on Instagram, MJF uploaded his recovery video. He further shared a detailed update on his injury recovery and his current status. Just hours before his Dynamite appearance, the World Champion uploaded a video of himself taking a cold plunge.
“Very recently, I have hurt my left knee,” MJF said. “I hyperextended it in a match against RUSH, who is a bad person. I think we all agree on that. And honestly, this match happened on Wednesday. It is now, I believe, Tuesday? And my inflammation in my knee has drastically gone down.
“Obviously, there’s still a s**t ton of inflammation and pain, but being honest with myself, without this cold plunge, I do believe it would have took me a lot longer to start feeling like myself. And honestly, I think Nordic Wave is going to be a big part of ensuring that I don’t have to take any time off, which is imperative for both my career and, frankly, the company of All Elite Wrestling, ratings, ticket sales, pay-per-view buys, you name it. You’re welcome,” he further added.
MJF was previously scheduled to appear on Beyond Wrestling against Bobby Orlando. However, he had to pull out of it due to the injury and was instead replaced by Andrade El Idolo.
