Aaron Rodgers issues brutal response to Mike Tomlin question hoping reporters ‘shut the hell up’
It was just one win for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
But it was a critical victory for embattled head coach Mike Tomlin — and Aaron Rodgers let everyone know it.

While Baltimore Ravens fans questioned several game-changing calls by referees, the Steelers took back control of the AFC North with a tough 27-22 road win on Sunday.
Why did Rodgers fire back at Tomlin critics?
That gave Rodgers a perfect platform to flex on haters, trolls and critics, and one question in particular drew an icy response from the future Hall of Famer.
“What does it mean to get a win like this after the week that you guys have had and the week that Mike Tomlin has had?” a reporter asked Rodgers.
One of the greatest QBs in NFL history stared into the distance and gathered his thoughts.
Then Rodgers fired another touchdown behind the podium.
“It means maybe you guys will shut the hell up for a week,” said Rodgers, showing off a slight grin.
Fans loved Rodgers taking a public shot at the media and backing Tomlin, who spent the week shadowed by questions about his coaching future with the Steelers.
“Peak Rodgers at his finest,” one fan tweeted.
“That’s the Rodgers I remember,” a second fan posted.
Pittsburgh still must prove Tomlin was right
But with Ravens fans clamoring about missed and blown calls by the refs — highlighted by an instantly controversial TD that was stripped away from Isaiah Likely — others pushed back against Rodgers’ ‘win’ vs the media on Sunday.

talkSPORT reacts ... It's not over for Tomlin
Nice one, Steelers.
Now do it again in the playoffs, when it actually matters.
The entire 2025 season has been a referendum on the Mike Tomlin-Aaron Rodgers partnership.
Rodgers deserves credit for being better than Lamar Jackson, who missed on throw after throw and is a level removed from his former MVP self.
But winning one game in mid-December won’t silence long-frustrated Steelers fans, who still believe that Tomlin is a step behind the NFL’s best coaches in 2025.
Winning in the postseason is the big test for Tomlin and Rodgers.

“Keep dreaming! Tomlin still needs to go Rogers!” one fan replied.
“Nope, still fire Tomlin,” a second fan wrote.
Rodgers showed he’s not done yet
What’s undebatable is that Rodgers outplayed Lamar Jackson on Sunday.
While the two-time MVP struggled with his passing consistency in the Ravens’ loss, Rodgers completed 23-of-34 passes for 284 yards, one touchdown and a 103.1 passer rating.
Rodgers, a four-time NFL MVP, reminded Steelers fans why the franchise was so committed to waiting to sign the ex-Packer and Jet during the offseason.
Meanwhile, Pittsburgh (7-6) regained control of first place in the division.
The Steelers next host the Miami Dolphins.
The Ravens (6-7) travel to Cincinnati to face Joe Burrow‘s Bengals on Sunday, then have a Week 18 rematch vs the Steelers.
Another Pittsburgh win during the regular-season finale would allow Tomlin and Rodgers to flex together — for at least one more week.
