Aaron Judge sends message to Yankees fans for staying through rain to see walk-off
The New York Yankees braved through rainy weather to see these type of fireworks: An Aaron Judge homer. The Yankees star even blasted his latest home run in walk-off fashion Sunday against the Tampa Bay Rays.
Judge stood in the rain postgame and couldn’t help but thank the fans. Especially for allowing themselves to get drenched just to see Judge’s latest theatrics.
“Man, what a roar,” Judge told Yankees’ YES Network reporter Meredith Marakovits. “I appreciate y’all staying. I know there’s some bad weather.”
But the rain wasn’t the only thing that soaked Judge. His teammates dropped cold water from a cooler onto him.

Judge sent the baseball 363 feet toward right center field on the first pitch. Max Schueman scored on the Judge rip as he stood on first base.
But Judge snapped a personal skid too. He’d gone 11 straight games without blasting a home run until the game winner here.
The right fielder smacked two hits total on the rainy afternoon through four at-bat attempts. He scored one run as well, coming after the homer.
But even the home run-less streak didn’t phase manager Aaron Boone. He told reporters postgame he remained confident in his top batter.
“I thought Friday night he swung the bat well. Today he gets a base hit, he hits the ball hard to third. And then, it [a home run] is just waiting to come out,” Boone said. “He had a great swing.”
Judge has homered 17 times now, but Sunday became his first since May 10 against the Milwaukee Brewers.
