‘Going at it’ – Oliver Glasner and Marc Guehi involved in heated clash before Man City transfer
Oliver Glasner and Marc Guehi are said to have clashed at half-time in their massive shock defeat to Macclesfield.
The FA Cup holders lost 2-1 against the National League North side in this season’s third round to produce one of the biggest ever ‘cupsets’.

Paul Dawson opened the scoring for Macclesfield shortly before the break to leave Palace shell-shocked at the Leasing.com Stadium.
So much so that according to the host’s assistant manager Francis Jeffers, Glasner and Guehi rowed on their way to the dressing room.
Glasner and Guehi ‘went at it’
“I think it was at 42 [43, minutes] we scored, so we scored at the right time,” he recalled on The Wayne Rooney Show.
“We get in at half-time, the lads are excited. I will say it, I don’t know whether I should be saying it, Glasner and Marc Guehi are going at it in the tunnel at half-time.
“I was walking past and I thought, ‘I like that!’ There’s an edge, they’re not happy with something.”
When asked if he told the Macclesfield players about what happened, Jeffers said: “Yeah, I did.
“I said, ‘Look, there’s big disagreements there between the manager and captain… so, you’ve clearly rattled a cage.
“‘More of the same second half.'”
The match turned out to be Guehi’s last for the Eagles as he made a £20million plus add-ons move to Manchester City nine days later.
Palace may have lost their captain, but with only months remaining on his deal, he could have left for free in the summer.

Guehi has made five appearances across all competitions for City.
He scored their second goal in the 2-0 FA Cup victory against Salford City on Saturday to help send them into the fifth round.
Amid the defeat to Macclesfield and the sale of Guehi, Glasner also dealt a huge blow to the long-term future of Palace.
The Austrian announced that he will leave the club at the end of the season during a bombshell press conference.
Palace were left blindsided by his decision to reveal the news as they expected it to come later in the campaign.
The south Londoners will therefore be seeking a new appointment ahead of the 2026/27 season.

How is Guehi allowed to play in the FA Cup?
Some questions have been raised over why Guehi has been allowed to play for two different teams in the FA Cup.
After his bust-up with Palace manager Glasner after a game in the competition, he’s still been allowed to play again for City.
And that’s due to a rule change this season.
Players can now play for a maximum of one other club in the FA Cup, rather than not being allowed to play for another at all.
