3-star CB pick Indiana over Missouri, Rutgers
Following an official visit to Bloomington on June 12, three-star cornerback Ramir Harris-Dupree announced his commitment to Indiana on Saturday.
Harris-Dupree, a Class of 2027 prospect from Grimsley High School in Greensboro, North Carolina, is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 98 cornerback in the class. Rivals lists him as a three-star recruit, while 247Sports also ranks him No. 106 at cornerback, No. 40 overall in North Carolina, and No. 1,184 nationally.
Harris-Dupree chose the Hoosiers over Missouri, Rutgers, and Louisville, while he also held offers from Virginia Tech, Buffalo, Charlotte, Coastal Carolina, East Carolina, Eastern Michigan, Georgia Southern, James Madison, Liberty, Old Dominion, Temple, Tulsa, UConn, Western Michigan, Campbell, Elon, Gardner-Webb, and North Carolina A&T. He reportedly had 22 offers and took only three official visits to Indiana, Missouri, and Rutgers.
The Hoosiers extended an offer on May 20, and his decision followed his visit to Bloomington last weekend. Harris-Dupree became Indiana’s 14th verbal commitment in the 2027 class, which is currently ranked No. 32 nationally. He is also the second cornerback in the class.
Across his two seasons at Grimsley, Harris-Dupree has consistently produced on the field. As a sophomore, he recorded 69 tackles and two tackles for loss while helping Grimsley finish 16-0 and win the North Carolina High School Athletic Association 4A state championship. As a junior, he logged 54 tackles, along with either 10 pass breakups or five tackles for loss depending on the report, plus two interceptions and a forced fumble, while Grimsley again finished undefeated and won the NCHSAA 7A North state title.
Physically, Harris-Dupree is listed at either 6-foot-1, 165 pounds or 6-foot, 160 pounds depending on the recurring service. He also attended an Under Armour All-American camp in May, where he reportedly ran a 4.53 40-yard dash and posted a 29.3-inch vertical jump.
