2 Knicks NBA Finals courtside seats at MSG sell for nearly $280,000

The New York Knicks beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 121-108 in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Final, taking a 3-0 lead. Now just one win away from their first trip to the NBA Finals in 26 years, the fans are getting ready. According to Darren Rovell, one Knicks fan paid $280,00 for a pair of tickets at MSG.

“The first two courtside seats have sold for the first Knicks Finals home game at Madison Square Garden in 27 years. Someone purchased TWO seats on StubHub for….$279,804! I have confirmed the sale,” Rovell reported.

Knicks playoff tickets have been a hot item in New York City ever since they started making the dance again in 2021. Now, as they are on the precipice of their first Finals appearance since 1999, the ticket prices are going wild. If they finish off the Cavaliers and do advance to the NBA Finals, the prices will go even higher.

Rovell reported on a sale, which doesn’t help fans looking to cozy up with Ben Stiller and Timothee Chalamet in the Finals. Newsday’s Steve Popper took a spin through the resale market and found a courtside seat worth over $500,000.

In a separate post, Popper linked a 3,600 square foot house in Oklahoma City worth less than these tickets.

The Knicks have won 10 consecutive games since falling down 2-1 in the first round to the Atlanta Hawks. They stormed back to beat the Hawks in six games, swept the Philadelphia 76ers, and have a chance to sweep the Cavs. In those ten games, they have a +225 point differential, the largest in any ten-game streak in NBA history, regular or postseason. To see that team up close, it’s going to cost you a pretty penny.

The Knicks can close out the Cavaliers in Cleveland on Monday at 8 p.m. Eastern. If the Cavs win, the Knicks will be in front of the MSG crowd for Game 5.
